GENERAL TERMS
All services provided by The Wine Consul are subject to these Terms and Conditions.
By booking or participating in any service, you agree to be bound by these terms.
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Updates will be posted on our website.
WINE EXPERIENCES & EDUCATIONAL SERVICES
Event Booking and Cancellation:
– A 50% deposit is required to secure all private or corporate wine events. Balance is due 5 business days before the event.
– Cancellations made:
• More than 10 days in advance: Full refund minus 5% processing fee.
• 5–9 days in advance: 50% refund.
• Less than 5 days: No refund.
– Events may be rescheduled at no extra cost with at least 7 days’ notice, subject to availability.
Liability:
– The Wine Consul is not responsible for personal injury, lost items, or allergic reactions during events.
– Participants must be of legal drinking age in their province or country.
HOSPITALITY TRAINING SERVICES
Training Scope:
– Services include: Smart Serve certification support only, bartending skills, customer service, food safety, and wine service education.
– Training may be delivered online or in person, depending on client needs.
Accessibility:
– We are AODA compliant and offer reasonable accommodations for participants with accessibility needs. Please notify us at least 5 business days before the session.
Cancellations:
– Cancellations within 48 hours of a training session are non-refundable but may be rescheduled at our discretion.
TRAVEL SERVICES
TICO Registration & Consumer Protection:
– Our travel services fall under the protection of TICO Registration # 50027942

Booking Policies:
– A deposit is required at the time of booking; full payment is typically due 60 days before departure (subject to supplier policies).
– All airfares are non-refundable and subject to change until ticketed. Name changes are not permitted after booking.
– Travel insurance is strongly recommended for all travelers.
Hotel & Supplier Terms:
– Clients are responsible for reading and understanding the cancellation and modification policies of all accommodations and tour providers prior to confirmation.
– We are not responsible for policy changes or fees imposed by hotels, airlines, or third-party suppliers.
Entry Requirements:
– It is your responsibility to confirm entry requirements (e.g., visas, vaccinations, passports) before booking and travel.
– The Wine Consul does not assume liability for denied boarding or entry due to missing or incorrect documentation.
Host Agency & Booking Benefits:
– All bookings made with The Wine Consul are processed through our certified host agency, giving you access to preferred rates, exclusive perks, and industry protections.
LIABILITY & DISCLAIMERS
– The Wine Consul acts as a facilitator and cannot be held liable for acts, omissions, or disruptions caused by third-party suppliers.
– We are not responsible for delays, cancellations, or force majeure events including natural disasters, pandemics, or political unrest.
PRIVACY
– We protect your personal information in accordance with Canadian privacy laws. We never sell your information to third parties.
– Email addresses collected via booking forms or newsletters will only be used for The Wine Consul communications and updates.
